Gunmen Abduct Four Students In Ghor

MEP: A number of unidentified gunmen have reportedly abducted four students from Shahrak district of Ghor province, an official said.

Abdul Hai Khatibi, spokesman for the governor of Ghor told the Middle East Press the incident occurred Monday evening when students were going towards the central of district from the village of Ghawok.

The cause of the kidnapping is unknown so far, he said, adding that is likely to have occurred due to personal animosity between the two armed opposition commanders.

According to Khatibi, previously conflicts of armed commanders caused major problems such as fires and destruction of homes.

According to another report, two uprising commanders were killed in Rabat Sangi district of Herat province.

Herat police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi said last night the two commanders, who were father and son, have been killed by their guests on the route of Rabat Sangi district and the killers fled from the area.
