Gun battle in Wedding Ceremony Kills and Injures 29  

4to3_72531_152537KABUL: (Middle East Press) In a deadly clash between the irresponsible gunmen during a wedding ceremony at least 21 people were killed and 8 others were injured in northern Baghlan province.

Baghlan provincial police Chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Jabar Pordily during a phone call conversation with The “Middleeastpress” said that the incident took place in Shahshan valley of Charikar village in Deh Salah district late on Sunday night.

He added that 21 people were killed and 8 others were injured during the gun battle which is still continue between the involved parties.

According to Pordily, the majority of the victims were guests which also included children and elder women and men.

The Afghan security forces have soon reached the scene but the main reason behind the clashes is unclear so far.

This comes as the local officials have long been expressing concerns regarding the possession of illegal weapons by the irresponsible individuals in this province.
