The security forces fighting against Taliban at the frontlines in Baghlan were praised with giving flower necklaces by some social activists.
“The reason behind this admiration is to support our security forces and thank them for their fight against insurgents” Shakurzada Nawid, a social activist, told the Middle East Press
The security forces being thanked by residents of Pol-e Khomri having been heavily fighting with armed Taliban for the recent two weeks.
Attending this supporting ceremony, General Ekramuddin Sari, the Baghlan police commander, thanked the social activist action and promised to take serious measures for establishing convenient peace and safety for residents of Baghan.
“Clearance operation is going on in Baladuri area in Pul-e Khomri and to prevent Taliban reaching Pul-e Khomri-Knduz highway, new security posts are going to be created” he added
Baghlan highly ranked police official called for the local residents cooperation with the security forces to push Taliban back and prevent civilian casualties.
Many families have been displaced in Baladuri area in Pul-e Khomri and lots of residential homes destroyed since beginning of war in the current year.
