Girls School Torched In Kabul

KABUL (MEP) — The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoI) says a girls’ school was set on fire by gunmen in the Shekhera district of Kabul province.

The school was set on fire by gunmen around 1:20 pm Tuesday, August 20, in Boya-zar village of Shakardara district, Kabul.

School was set on fire by armed Taliban and damaged many parts of the school building, Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi wrote in a tweet.

He said, “The Taliban arrested school guard at first and set it on fire, no one wounded in the incident.”

At the same time, the armed Taliban have rejected the Interior Ministry’s claims as baseless and have denied any involvement in the incident.

It is noteworthy that 700 girls were busy educating in this school.
