The incident took place Wednesday around 1:00pm in Arghandab district while all members of a family during collecting firewood faced with a mortar shell and bring it to their home and when they placed the firewood the mortar shell exploded, Zia Durani spokesman of police chief in Kandahar.
All injured people were transferred to hospital and the health conditions of some of them are critical, Durani added.
Police, meanwhile started investigations into the incident.
