Ghazni bombing doer beaten to death by local residents

KABUL: (MEP) – The doer of deadly bombing in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan was beaten to death by local residents on Monday, local government officials said.

At least 18 people including women and children were killed and five others were injured following a roadside bomb explosion in Andar district late Sunday.

Provincial governor for Ghazni, Mosa Khan Akbarzada on Monday said that the perpetrator of the bombing was beaten to death by local residents after his involvement behind the incident was confirmed,

Mr. Akbarzada further added that the involvement of the suspected militant was also confirmed by security officials and was beaten to death by local residents.

In the meantime, a security official in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan has said that the bombing perpetrator has likely been killed in the same explosion.

However, a provincial council official, Amanullah Kamrani has said it is not clear if the suspected militant was killed in the roadside blast or was killed by local resident.

Mr. Kamrani further added that suspected perpetrator had contacts with the Taliban group earlier.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind yesterday’s incident.
