Ghani: Taliban Must Declare Its Relationship With Pakistan, Terrorists, Illegal Economy

KABUL (MEP) – President Ghani announcing no ceasefire with ISIL-K and other terror groups, added that the Taliban must separate itself from other groups and speak out about its relationship with Pakistan, terrorist groups, and also its safe havens and the criminal economy.

Attending a meeting with country’s provincial governors, President Ashraf Ghani addressed US- Taliban peace deal happening in Doha.

Afghan President said Afghanistan’s foreign policy is clear, Afghanistan has neither permanent allies nor permanent enemies, only permanent interests, and given the changes in the region “we will not allow anyone to make our country its strategic depth.”

Mr. Ghani reiterated that any agreement signed with the Taliban is conditional and that Afghanistan has conditions with the Taliban from one stage to another and that “if the Taliban does not give up the war, the conditions will change.”

Afghan President said that the Afghan government has no ceasefire with ISIL and other terrorist groups and the Taliban must take a side from them, as well the group must speak out to the people about their hideouts, criminal economy and its relation with Pakistan.

According to Ghani, peace is a national process and all of the Afghan people must decide on it.

the new stage of the peace process will never become ethnic, and collective, because peace is a national process and all the people of Afghanistan agree.

President Ghani reiterated that today Afghanistan is not the same as five years ago, the peace is national issue and efforts are underway to achieve a just and sustained peace in the country.

He also stated that Afghanistan is an independent country and its relations with the world are very important and all agreements and deal with the international community, especially the United States of America and NATO, are continuing.
