According to a statement released by his office (ARG), President Ghani visited a number of the national security administrators of northern districts yesterday evening.
During the meeting, the President addressed the directors of NDS said, “You, your role, knowledge and work that you do is extremely important, because you are among the people, you know the places and have enough experiences.”
The president referred to his speech at the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, stated that the definition of friend and foe eliminate ambiguities and those who are against the regime of Afghanistan, are the enemies of the country.
Mr Ghani added those who kill the country’s security and defense forces as well as our innocent compatriots and cause terrorist crimes, based on the decision of the judicial organs will be executed.
Terrorist groups, including Taliban insurgents, Islamic State (IS or Daesh) and other terrorist organizations that plan to kill anyone in the soil of Afghanistan, will be destroyed severely, Ghani noted.
Ghani said that during the last eighteen months sufficient peace efforts were made but the terrorists and insurgents had rejected to join peace talks and a large number of citizens and security officials were killed last week in a deadly suicide attack in Kabul by Taliban insurgents because they are rebels and criminals.
President Ghani insisted on NDS and said “narrow down the terrorists’ activity areas….create fear in their hearts…. block their ways….seize their financial resources and through ground and air operations, destroy their positions and kill them one by one.”
