Four Kidnapped ‘Employees Of Rural Development Ministry’ Released In Baghlan

Abdul Satar Barez,MEP: Four employees of Solidarity Program of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department have been released after they were kidnapped around 12 days before in Khost district of Baghlan province by unknown irresponsible gunmen.

They employees were released in collaboration with local elders from the hands of kidnappers.

Baghlan governor Abdul Satar Barez, after the release of the government officials on Monday warned that “if in the future anywhere in Baghlan, any government official that will be humiliated, insulted or is captured, the development programs in the communities will be proscribed.”

Four of the employees of the National Solidarity Program (NSP) had gone to the district in order to monitor the NSP projects, had been kidnapped by armed militants and spent 12 days in captivity.

The reason for the kidnapping is not yet clear.

National Solidarity Program, is a program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development that creates rural development councils in the implementation of welfare projects in the villages for the people.
