Fierce Clashes In Helmand’s Nad Ali Between Taliban And Security Forces
MEP: Fierce clashes between security forces and armed Taliban have reportedly broke out in parts of Nad Ali district of Helmand province.
Omar Zwak, spokesman for the governor of Helmand said the conflicts intensified since last night and the Air Force commandos have reached the area.
He said added the conflicts is in 20 kilometers of the district and the security forces launching attacks on Taliban’s positions by air and ground operations.
According to him, Taliban uses human shields and surrounding homes which has caused the war to prolongation in Nad Ali.
Meanwhile, Bashir Shaker, Chairman of the Defense Commission of the Helmand Provincial Council also confirmed the report, saying “heavy fighting is underway since last night in the district”.
