Fahim Hashimy Head Of Afghanistan Olympic Committee Resigned

Fahim HashimyKABUL: (Middle East Press) Mohammad Fahim Hashimy has resigned from his position as head of the Afghanistan Olympic Committee, it has been reported.

Hashimy is currently outside the country and has reportedly resigned from his position citing personal issues.

He is among the prominent Afghan businessmen and assumed charge of the Afghanistan Olympic Committee earlier last year.

Apart from the Afghanistan Olympic Committee Chief, Hashimy was in charge of the Afghanistan Chess Federation.

Hashimy replaced the former Olympic Committee Chief Mohammad Zahir Aghbar who resigned from his position two years ago.

Being the founder of the private television network – 1TV, Hashimy was placed among the top ten businessmen by Afghanistan Investment Support Agency.

The television started broadcast in 2010 and is considered among the top television networks of the country, covering political, cultural, recreational and sports on 24/7 basis.
