Explosion Kills Suicide Bomber In Helmand’s Lashkargah
KABUL: (MEP) An explosion has killed a suicide in southern Helmand province on Saturday, the Ministry of Defense said.
A statement was issued by the Ministry states, in addition, another suicide bomber was injured in the blast.
The two suicide bombers detonated a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) in Lashkargah city after they were identified by the Afghan security forces, according to the statement.
The statement added that there were other casualties as well. But the statement did not release further details regarding the cover of the casualties.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
The blast comes as few days before Taliban group had launched a coordinated attack on Gereshk district of Helmand province in which all of the attackers have been killed and two police officers.
