Explosion in Pakistan Kills FC Captain

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A landmine explosion left a military officer dead and injured two employees on Sunday evening in Pakistan Balochistan.

According to Police the military officer who was killed in the blast was identified as an FC captain. Police sources said Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were on routine patrol when their vehicle hit by a landmine.

The incident took place in Balochistan’s Chathar area of Naseerabad district. Two FC personnel were seriously wounded in the blast which also destroyed the vehicle they were traveling in.

The injured personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. FC and police personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area to probe the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
