Europe Union’s Emergency Meeting On Saudi Arabia
KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to Euro news, Sweden scrapped a long-standing military deal with the Saudis in protest to Saudi offensive behavior toward its Foreign Minister in Cairo and intends to urge Europe Union to hold an emergency meeting to evaluate strategies to counter extremism in Saudi Arabia and to analyze issues such as putting Saudi nationals in the Union sanction list and decreasing purchase of oil from Saudi Arabia.
It is worth saying that Saudi Arabia is the third largest non-Western buyer of Swedish arms. In 2014, Riyadh bought equipment worth 37 million euros.
