Egypt Is Involved In Syrian Civil War
MEP: Lebanese newspaper As-Safir, by stating that “Vanguards of the Egyptian army are in Syria”, wrote that so far, 18 Egyptian pilots have joined Syrian army’s air base in Hama, for supporting the government against terrorists.
The newspaper added: A senior Egyptian diplomat is expected to enter Damascus soon. Probably the diplomat will be “Sameh Shoukry,” Egyptian Foreign Minister or one of his top deputies.
As-Safir also wrote: Egyptians have decided to be active about the regional issues, therefore instead of monitoring and evaluating al-Nusra and its effects against their national security, they want to enter the battle and fight with terrorists. Accordingly, from November 12, Egyptian forces have started their work at Hama’s air base. A group of 18 Egyptian pilots have joined the Syrian army troops at the base. They are experts in flying the helicopters.
We can’t still say that the air operations are certainly started. But the presence of the pilots in Hama is definite. Egypt has a serious decision to cooperate with Syrian Army.
