Druze Community Condemned Walid Jumblatt’s Policies
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Druze in Lebanon on behalf of the Druze community condemned Walid Jumblatt’s policies and denounced any action in line with Al Nusra and ISIL group.
They also demanded Jumblatt’s formal apology from the Druze community and the people of Lebanon. It is worth noting that Walid Jumblattthe, the current leader of the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP), is among those who called al-Nusra Front terrorist group, a Fighting Group. He also in a message asked Syria’s Druze to cooperate with Al Nusra and ISIL group and other terrorist groups and join them as well.
Walid Jumblatt has prepared the ground for his son (Timor)’s replacement as head of the party but his ill-considered action in support of ISIL and Al Nusra front group ruined it. Actually majority of Druze want to fight against Takfiri groups therefore choosing Timor as the leader of the group considering his father’s action has cast serious doubts.
Members of the “14 March Alliance,” especially Al-Mustaqbal chairman and former Lebanese prime minister Sa’d Al-Hariri, Samir Geagea, head of the Lebanese Forces party and Secretary-General of Al Mustaqbal movement, Ahmad Hariri, fearing the wrath of Mohammed bin Salman in recent days comprehensively defend ISIL & Al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups. They also called Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance to stop fighting these groups. It is expected soon to see strong reactions within Lebanese groups to this anti-national leaders’ action.
