KABUL: (Middle East Press) A high-ranking Taliban leader was killed following a drone strike in Obe district of western Herat province, local authorities said.
The officials further added the airstrike was launched by coalition forces late Wednesday night.
The Taliban chief was identified as Mullah Abdul Rahman who was involved in major terrorist related activities in Herat province, the officials said.
At least four Taliban insurgents were also killed following the airstrike, the officials added.
The Taliban group has not commented about the report yet.
