Director Of Education For Ghazni District Gunned Down
MEP: Unidentified gunmen shot dead the education director for Andar district of Ghazni province.
A statement by the Ministry of Education said the incident happened on Wednesday morning.
Taaza Gul Nangyalai was attacked when heading towards home from the mosque after performing morning prayers, the statement added.
Ghazni provincial police also confirmed the news saying that the gunmen fled the area and an investigation is underway to trace assailants.
According to the Ministry of Education, Nangyalai was a resident of Andar district and after graduating from teacher training in Sayyed Jamal al-Din of Kabul, at the time of the Soviet Red Army, attended the Mujahidin rank and in 1381 (the solar year) appointed as a teacher in Sultan Shahabuddin High School in Ghazni province, and from 1386 onward has worked as the director of Education for Andar district.
