KABUL: (MEP) – A majority of the residents of Rabatsangi district, Herat province demonstrated yesterday, BNA reported.
The demonstrations became violence for a short time and as a result two policemen injured.
Abdul Raof Ahmadi, Herat police spokesperson told BNA, the demonstrations were due to ethnical disputes between two tribes from Rabatsangi district which led the killing of a person.
According to Ahmadi, as a result of these demonstrations two police wounded and six demonstrators arrested by police.
Ahmadi added, the security forces prevented financial destructions and casualties by timely intervention.
Presently the security condition reportedly is calm.
