“President Ghani has named Deh Mazang ‘Matyrs Square’ to honor and respect the victims of the brutal attack as well as help remember those who have lost their lives to support democracy in the country”, a statement by his office said.
The statement adds that the decision was taken so that the generations of the country remember the value of democracy and what cost the Afghan people have achieved it.
According to the statement, the Municipality of Kabul has been instructed by President Ghani to take actions regarding the decision.
