Based on this report, al-Mustaqbal Movement has held this poll in mid-August this year with help of Saudi Embassy in Beirut and with the purpose of knowing the social position of political figures among Sunnis in northern Lebanon.

Anfopro institute at the request of Saudis carried out the poll and asked this question: “Who is the most reliable and most popular political Sunni figure in Lebanon?

It was asked 2500 Sunni residents in Tripoli and Akkar during 20 days. Poll results showed bad position of some figures attributed to Saudi Arabia in al-Mustaqbal Movement so they did not release the results.

Based on the poll results, name of individuals like Saad Hariri was not even among the top ten popular & reliable figures.

It is important to note that Ashraf Rifi despite Saudi’s financial and promotional support was inferior in this list compared to Saad Hariri.
