The incident took place Tuesday morning in Pato district of Daikundi province when the police Commander, Gholam Sakhi Ghafouri was patrolling in the area.

Daikundi governor’s spokeswoman Sakinah Ehsani said Mr. Ghafouri was not injured in the incident, but two of his bodyguards were killed and three others were injured.
