Coronavirus: Trump Bans Travel from Europe to US for a Month

KABUL (MEP) – U.S. President Donald Trump restricted passenger travel from all European countries to the U.S. for a month over the spread of COVID-19 concerns.

Trump said the limits take effect Friday and won’t apply to the United Kingdom. “The measures are taken to save the lives of Americans.”

The restrictions will exempt American citizens and permanent legal residents and their families, although they could be funneled to certain airports for enhanced screening.

So far, 135 coronavirus cases have been recorded in the United States, of which 38 have been dead.
