KABUL: (Middle East Press) Coordinated attack has been launched on a police academy by a group of suicide bombers in the city of eastern Khost province.
According to reports, at least three strong explosions were heard from the incident area which were followed by heavy gun battle ongoing between the insurgents and Afghan security forces.
The gun battle ended after two assailant militants were shot dead by security forces. Several Afghan police officers have been reportedly injured following the attack.
No comments have been made by the security officials regarding the incident and casualties.
The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility for the incident.
