Clashes in Farah Kill 10 Rebels Injure 13 others

SOTF-SEKABUL: (Middle East Press) heavy clashes erupted in western Farah province between Afghan security forces and the militants in which 10 militants have been killed and 13 others wounded.

Local officials say the militants planned to seize the center of Gulistan District but involved in a heavy clash with security forces.

Those killed included the group’s commander “Abu Zarifa” who is an Arab National.

Abu Zarifa was previously operating in southern Helmand province but had arrived in Farah to occupy the district center of Gulistan, said Hanif Razai, Deputy Spokesman for the Afghan National Army in Farah.

However, there are no reports regarding the casualties of the security forces.
