Clashes in Baghlan Kill And Injure 45 Taliban Militants

247022f7-4b27-4910-a6fd-60285775cce2_16x9_600x338-600x330KABUL: (Middle East Press) Heavy clashes erupted in northern Baghlan province between security forces and the Taliban militants in which at least 18 Taliban militants were killed and 27 others wounded in the past three days, an official said on Monday.

Abdul Jabar Purdely, Provincial Police Chief said that the gun battle took place in Dand-e-Ghori area in Pul-e-Khumri the capital of the province and so far more than ten villages have been cleared of militants.

A security soldier was also killed and three others injured during the clashes, he added.

According to Purdely, the clashes still ongoing in the area between the two groups.

However, the Taliban militants are yet to comment regarding the incident.
