Clashes between Gunmen and Security Forces in Bamyan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Anti-government militants have reportedly carried out coordinated attacks on police check posts in Shebar district of Bamyan province.

Local security officials say the attack began at 9:00 in the morning on police checkpoints in “Sang-pur” area of Bamyan and Baghlan and the clashes are still on going.

The officials added that the Taliban militants launch such attacks in command of “Maulvi Nemat ullah” and “Maulvi Basir” to fight against the security forces.

According to reports, two security forces have been injured so far following the clashes and the aid forces from other districts were sent to the area to assist the other forces.
