Qazi Muhammad Anwar Rahmani, was killed Saturday evening in Salar area of Maidan Wardak in Ghazni-Kabul highway, Aminullah Amarkhail, provincial police chief said.
The incident occurred when the armed men stopped the vehicle of the chairman of Ghazni municipal Court and then opened fire on him.
According to Amarkhail, the body of Judge Rahmani was transferred to Ghazni province and his family was also informed.
No group has so far claimed responsibly for the attack.
