CEO Visits Tajikistan For CASA-1000 Inauguration
MEP: Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and his accompanying delegation has visited Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan to the inauguration of CASA-1000 project.
The foundation stone for the construction project is expected to be laid today (Thursday 5/12/16).
The construction work of electricity transmission from the Central Asia to the South Asia, known as CASA-1000 which is one of the major regional projects by high-ranking officials of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kirghizstan and Pakistan will be inaugurated in Batash area of Thorsen Zada in the Republic of Tajikistan.
CASA power transmission line from Datka area of northern Kirghizstan starting and crossing from Tajikistan with 1,250 kilometers transmission line of high voltage would lead to Pakistan through Afghanistan.
The length of the line in Afghanistan is 562 km which passes from 23 districts of six provinces of 600 areas.
The project has two altering stations of electricity from AC to DC and vice versa in the area of Sangtuda, Tajikistan, Noshera Pakistan, and a transformer in Afghanistan.
It’s worth mentioning that after the implementation of the project in Afghanistan, the government will earn approximately 45 million US dollars from its transit.
