CEO Abdullah Gathers Country’s Jihadi Leaders, Political Allies On Record Talks About NUG

CEO Abdullah with leadersMEP: Abdullah Abdullah Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after unprecedented talks on National Unity Government (NUG) held a meeting with the country’s elders, jihadi leaders and political allies on Saturday morning.

A statement by the office of CEO said the meeting was discussed on important matters of state and was considered its allies points. 

Leaders and political figures, along with supporting the recent program and comments of the country’s CEO, have emphasized on the unconditional implementation of the political agreement and implementation of reforms.

Abdullah says Mohammad Khan, Haji Mohammad Mohaqeq, Salahuddin Rabbani, Professor Atta Muhammad Noor, Gen. Bismillah Mohammadi, Amirullah Saleh, Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar, Minister of Justice, Mohamed Nateqi, Mirwais Yassin and Nasrallah’s Arsalai have been the participants of the conference.

Dr Abdullah in a speech on the World Youth Day, undermined the government’s record and said “if the agreement of National Unity Government does not mean the President’s veto, it neither means arbitrary. Hopefully on Saturday we’ll hold talks with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and I hope that common sense to understand the realities of Afghanistan and not to play games with each other”.

He indirectly pointed to the problems between himself and President Ghani saying “if any government has or has not coalition, there are discussions, but who do not have the patience to talk, does not deserve to be president, who is bored not hear”.

However, Abdullah’s speech was met with serious presidential repercussions, presidential palace statement said “sensitive situation in the country requires political elites, government officials, scholars cram, tribal elders and people of the country maintaining unity and consensus necessary to continue joint efforts to overcome all challenges”.

“The talks by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah unfortunately is not in accordance with the principles and spirit of governance, since the legal basis of governance based on principles and on the basis of the performance takes place,” the statement added.

Now it is worth waiting to see whether a meeting between the heads of state will take place or not and if the meeting is held, what content and topics will be exchanged?
