Car Crash on Kabul-Jalalabad Highway Leaves 9 Dead, Wounded

KABUL (MEP) – At least six passengers were killed and three others wounded after a road accident on Kabul-Jalalabad highway in Qarghae district of Logar province.

A spokesman for the governor of Laghman, Assadullah Dawlatzai, told MEP that the incident took place Saturday night in the Zangoura area of Qarghae district.

He said two cars collided on the highway, killing six passengers and wounding three.

Children and women were also killed and injured in the accident, Dawlatzai added. “The injured were taken to hospital.”

The fast-driving and carelessness of the drivers are said to be the cause of the accident.
