Car Bomb Attack Kills 44, Injuries 140 In Syria’s Qamishli

MEP: At least 44 people were killed and 140 others wounded in a car bombing in a predominantly Kurdish town in the north of Syria, Syrian State TV reports.

Sana news agency said the deadly attack occurred on Wednesday in the northern Syrian town of Qamishli when a terrorist in a vehicle laden with explosives blew himself up in a western neighborhood of the city.

The Takfiri Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.

ISIL has carried out several bombings in Kurdish areas in Syria in the past.

The so called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the explosion targeted a center of the local Kurdish police and a nearby government building.
