MEP: More than 100 British troops are considered to be deployed to Afghanistan amid deteriorating security situation in the country, the country’s defense officials reported.
The soldiers will be tasked to train the Afghan security forces as well as extending the training mission of the available forces in the country by at least a year, according to sources.
British Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to announce the decision during the Warsaw Summit in July.
Currently there are around 500 of British forces operating in the country as part of the Resolute Support mission led by NATO to train, assist and advice the Afghan forces.
