Border Town of Kobani Seized by Syrian, Russian Forces

KABUL (MEP) – The Syrian military forces backed by Russian forces, rolled into the strategic border town of Kobani in northern Syria, and are preparing to block Turkish military attacks.

In accordance to MEP quoting foreign media, the Syrian and Russian forces drove into Kobani last night.

Al-Miaddin said in a report that the Syrian army convoy, backed by Russian forces, has moved to Kobani and is preparing to block Turkish military operations.

Other reports also say that Kurdish forces were seen carrying pictures of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan alongside Syrian and Russian forces.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that the PKK is worse than the ISIS terrorist threat and it would be better for Turkey to fight them.

Trump’s Vice President Mike Pence is also scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today to discuss regional issues, especially developments in northern Syria.
