The two attacker, believed to be females, got off a vehicle and started firing and hurled grenades at the police station in the Bayrampasa district of Turkey’s biggest city.
The siege is currently on with initial reports saying that the attackers are being tracked in a building they are holed up.
No casualties have been reported so far, but police did return fire at the militants, injuring one of them.
