Bomb Blast Kills 2 in Egypt’s Cairo

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Bomb blast in the Egyptian capital, Cairo has left at least two people dead on Sunday afternoon.

The attack took place on a bridge in the Egyptian capital, according to state media.

Sunday’s explosion went off on the 15 May Bridge that runs over the Zamalek district and links the governorates of Cairo and Giza.

The state media added that one of the dead was a policeman.

According to reports, traffics had been stopped on the bridge as police were collecting shrapnel and assessing damage.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
