Bolivian President resigns

KABUL (MEP) – Bolivian President Evo Morales has announced resignation amid election protests.

Bolivian President Evo Morales, who won the last election, stepped down from the power today Monday, November 11.

Morales’s resignation comes amid widespread protests in Bolivian cities.

The Bolivian media has reported that his deputy also resigned after Morales’s resignation.

Although the Bolivian Supreme Court upheld Morales’ victory, the opponents did not accept the election result for alleged misconduct and protested in Bolivian cities.

Prior to Morales’s resignation, his private jet had flown to an unknown destination.
