Balkh; Roadside Bomb Blast Kills 11 civilians

Eleven civilians, including women and children, were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Dawlatabad district of Balkh province.

Local officials said the incident took place this morning Sunday, August 18, in the Hayatan village, Dawlatabad district, Middle East Press reports.

Mohammed Youssef, Dowlatabad district governor, said the incident raised when a civilian corolla was hit by a roadside mine.

A corolla was leaving Hayatan for Mazar-e-Sharif city that hit a roadside mine, killing 11 civilian passengers, he further added.

Children and women are also among the dead, Youssef said.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
