“Panorama Asharq Al-Awsat” news agency reported the detainee to be called “Ebrahim Maghsood” from a village around “Danina” arrested by military intelligence from whose house some style weapons and explosives have also been seized.
An aware source in this field has announced that after Ebrahim Maghsood’s detention Ashraf Rifi has called the Lebanese military intelligence affiliated with Almustaghbal political movement in the north and has threatened them to liberate Maghsood quickly. Following this contact the army released the detained person after a few days under the pretext that he had no other charges than illegally keeping arms.
It is worth noting that Ibrahim Maghsood is an agent of Ashraf Rifi and indirect contact with him, and that concerned over disclosing his relations with Rifi, the military intelligence quickly released him.
Ashraf Rifi has also intervened before un many cases to divert the course of the investigation such as the case of the Saudi Prince who was arrested with tons of drugs and Daiatal Islam al-Shahala leader of an extremist Islamist group who fled to Turkey after a series of terrorist acts in Lebanon to Turkey.
