KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces launched fresh military operations across the country in which at least 57 Taliban insurgents killed and 23 others wounded in the past 24 hours, ministry of defense announced on Sunday.
The Ministry of Defense issued a statement states that at least seven Afghan National Army soldiers have also been killed in explosions and insurgent fire.
The statement added that the military operations were conducted in Paktika, Sar-e-Pul, Logar, Oruzgan, Helmand, Kunduz and Badakhshan provinces.
Afghan forces have also disabled 11 different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) placed by insurgents during the operations.
