CJ20GD6UAAEqN4wKABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) launched fresh military operations across the country in which at least 38 Taliban militants have been killed and 42 wounded, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Monday.

MoI said that the operations were conducted in Faryab, Urozgan, Logar, Ghazni, Paktia, Herat and Helmand provinces in past 24 hours.

According to Mol the operations were undertaken jointly by Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence where five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and defused.

However, Mol did not release details regarding the casualties of the Afghan forces.
