KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have launched fresh military operations in which at least 33 Taliban militants were killed in the past 24 hours, Ministry of Defense announced Thursday.
Spokesman for Ministry of Defense (MOD) Zahir Azimi tweeted on his page that the operations were conducted in five provinces of the country but he did not specify the exact location of the incidents.
Afghan security forces have also seized some weapons and ammunitions during these operations, Azimi added, however the specific number of weapons were not detailed.
At least five Afghan soldiers have embraced martyrdom in the conflict with the militants.
