ANSF Kill 115 Taliban Rebels in Military Operations

76b8d4ce9083a1KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) launched fresh military operations across the country in which at least 115 Taliban rebels were killed, 41 others were wounded and 5 detained in the past 48 hours, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced Sunday morning.

A statement issued by (MoD) states that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Badakhshan, Helmand, Khost, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Faryab, Kapisa, Logar Paktiak provinces.

The statement adds that three commanders of the militant groups identified as Mullah Zakir, Mullah Latif and Mullah Baryalai were also among those killed during the operations.

Afghan forces have also confiscated some weapons along with ammunition and explosives during the operations, according to the statement.

MoD said the Afghan armed forces also discovered and defused at least 48 rounds of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during the same period.

However, the militants group are yet to comment in this regard.
