American Senators` Plan to Withdraw Foreign Troops from Afghanistan

A number of American senators have drafted a plan for withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

According to Middle East Press; Republican Sens. Rand Paul and Democrat Sen. Tom Udall presented the project to the US Congress.

The senators have named their plan” American Forces Going Home After Noble Service” according to which US ends their presence in Afghanistan

Sens. Rand Paul wrote on her twitter that AFGHAN Service Act—would require the Secretary of Defense, within 45 days of the passage, to come up with a plan to pull all U.S. military forces out of Afghanistan within a year.

These influential Senators have proposed in their plan that all US Bases in Afghanistan be deployed to Interior Forces and an operational plane for Afghanistan Peace must be formed.

At the same time, Paul states that the US mission in Afghanistan is costing nearly $2 trillion and an amount of $51 billion is spent yearly.

While currently, 14,000 US troops in Afghanistan are engaged in advisory services and equipping Afghan forces, their departure plans are provided by senators.

However, US delegates are in talk with armed Taliban representatives in Qatar.
