Afghanistan National Cricket Team Arrives Home

KABUL: (MEP) -The country’s national cricket team returned home yesterday evening after a huge success letting the team play in upcoming ICC World Cup games in 2015 in Australia.

National cricket players were received in Kabul International Airport by chairman of Upper House, minister of economy, Presidential advisor Shazada Masoud, senior security deputy for MOI, a number of parliament members and a large number of sports’ fans, BNA reported.

The team by winning Kenya cricket team in 50 over games in Sharjah has gained permission to participate in one day games in World Cups to be held in 2015 in Australia.

The country’s ministers’ council in its latest session decided that the country’s national cricket team should be supported as national football team getting championship in South Asia football games.

It is worth mentioning that despite the fact that cricket is not old enough in the country’s history, but the success has proved that the country’s youth have achieved huge successes in a very short time.
