Afghanistan Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Afghanistan-Germany Relations

Afghanistan-Germany-pactKABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan and German officials have celebrated one hundred year old of the relations of both countries at the presidential palace Sunday morning.

Frank Walter Steinmeier, Germany’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs has arrived in Kabul on Sunday on the occasion of the centuries-old relations with Afghanistan.

During this celebration, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani along with other high ranking officials of the country met with German Foreign Minister.

“The relations between Afghanistan and Germany are strong and useful” Ghani said during talks in (Arg) presidential palace.

Ghani added, Germany had cooperated with Afghanistan from the outset in two parts, economic and military and this relation is still continued.

According to Ghani, German president has recently promised to also cooperate in the development of Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Steinmeier, also said that the friendship foundation of Afghanistan with Germany had been a hundred years ago.

“Germany had the largest contribution to Afghanistan so far and the process will continue” he added.

According to sources, Afghanistan and Germany friendship and cooperation must remain stable and consistent in order to Afghanistan stands on its own.
