Afghan Troops Foil Taliban’s Coordinated Attacks In Khost

MEP-Afghan security forcesMEP: Security forces have repelled a coordinated attack by armed Taliban in Musa Khel district of Khost province by fierce resistance.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense said Monday around 800 of domestic and foreign armed Taliban planned to launch deadly attacks on Musa Khel district from days before.

The attacks were pushed with fierce resistance of the country’s brave forces, the statement added.

As a result of these attacks at least 67 local and foreign armed Taliban, including three commanders were killed, 23 others injured and three of group’s positions destroyed.

The armed Taliban have not commented on the report so far.
