Afghan Student In U.S. For Technology Competition

TamimKABUL: (MEP) Tamim Essazada, a student of Computer Science Faculty from Balkh University is set to compete in the internationally acclaimed Information Technology (IT) competition in U.S. capital, Washington D.C.

The 21 year old Tamim has created the application with an aim to help resolve the issues of education in the country.

Essazad designed an IT program in the field of education and training and has selected from 1,200 applications submitted for the application from 165 countries to get to the semifinals in the competition.

“Afghanistan, fortunately, has also been able to make its way to the semifinals where it will compete with another 100 countries and it is a great honor,” said Essazada.

The U.S. Department of State classifies the international IT competition annually in Washington and this year, Afghanistan will be represented at the event over 100 countries.
