Afghan Security Forces Kill 37 Rebels In Military Operations

afghan forcesKABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) launched fresh military operations across the country in which at least 37 insurgents have been killed 10 wounded and several others arrested, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Monday morning.

A statement issued by MoI states that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul and Helmand provinces.

The statement adds that the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency in past 24 hours.

Afghan forces have also seized a number of weapons and arms during these operations, according to statement.

However, the statement did not provide details regarding the casualties of the Afghan security forces.
