Afghan Security Forces Kill 22 Taliban Insurgents
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) launched fresh military operations across the country in which 22 Taliban rebels were killed and 10 others were injured, Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Wednesday.
MoI said that the operations were conducted in Herat, Nimroz, Maidan Wardak, Paktiya, Takhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Kandahar, Zabul and Oruzgan provinces in past 24 hours.
According to MoI, Afghan forces have also seized and confiscated a number of light and heavy weapons during the operations.
MoI however did not release details regarding the casualties of the government forces in the operations.
